The games on Nintendo consoles are just classics and extremely well known and loved.Sega? Ehhhh.maybe if you grew up with one.Your IP address has been temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests.

But if I compare Mario to.Sonic.yeah Mario is going to win 10 out of 10 times. I remember playing the classics, Mario, Kirby and Zelda but.that's about it.I think DKC too. I grew up on the NES even though I was born in 91.SNES came along later on but.didn't stick around for me. Bet a lot of people are going to have an issue with that.

Not a huge fan of the SNES when compared to the NES or N64.actually next to those two, the SNES is third on my list. I was a gamer, I should have known about this.given it was a fairly big company.they had a competing product after all.how the heck did I not know about them?Īnyways back on topic.other then being a fan of Nintendo, it's honestly the games that's going to make me pick SNES. It's like it never existed.which is extremely odd. I never remember seeing Sega in the stores, seeing ad's on TV or magazines or even hearing about it in school. Like everyone is always "remember Sega vs Nintendo?!".yeah I don't. I also weirdly don't remember Sega even being.a thing. I actually never owned anything Sega until a couple of years ago when I started collecting.like 5 years ago? Grew up playing Nintendo consoles and never Sega.so that's influencing me. My collecting strategy has been to get the most iconic exclusives for both and chose my ports based on which system had the better version. Ultimately SNES edges out the Genesis for me (just barely) but really it is best just to enjoy both for what they are. When done right, I think the chip-tune music on Genesis has aged really well compared to many SNES games that use low res audio samples. Sega also had far superior shooters and lots of crazy/odd games. Despite inferior graphics and sound many ports play better on Genesis due to larger resolution and more fluid gameplay. It feels like the Genesis has more games that a fast and fun to jump into. However, if you took out these titles I'd have to say that I enjoy the Genesis library more. The best games on SNES (think Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, Link to the Past) are better than anything on Genesis so it would be hard to justify saying it wasn't better.
